Varicose Vein Laser Treatments

Laser Treatments are one of the options for treating small, spider veins on the face and nose, and can also be used on spider and small veins on the legs and body for those who have not responded to sclerotherapy and also have light coloured skin. However, individual responses and results may vary.

The Laser light is preferentially absorbed by the red colour in the blood which flows in the veins. This light converts to heat, causing shrinkage of the veins. However, as with any procedure, there are potential risks and complications that should be discussed with a healthcare professional. No special dressing or stocking is required.

Surgical Warning: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

What Varicose Vein Laser Treatments do we perform?

What should I expect after Varicose Vein Laser Treatments?

You are provided with an after hours direct number in the event you may have any questions or concerns you wish to speak to us about. Generally, discomfort after Laser treatment is usually minimal, but individual experiences may vary. Your post-treatment appearance will vary depending on what type of treatment your Doctor or Cosmetic Physician selects for your condition.

Following any treatment, your skin may feel tender for several days. You should follow your Doctor’s instructions, and avoid any harsh skin cleansers and the use of sunscreen is essential. Any scratching or rubbing of the skin should be avoided.
